Dash cams could help in Highway 40 shooting investigation

Oct 25, 2017 | 2:16 PM

The search continues for the suspect or suspects that shot at three vehicles on Highway 40 last week.  RCMP have confirmed that all three vehicles were shot at within half an hour of each other on October 18th.

Constable Gabrielle Spencer says they are looking for anything that could assist them in their investigation.

“Police are continuing to investigate this matter. If you have to travel or are traveling, we want drivers to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity seen on Highway 40.”

Officers are looking for a black 2007 current model F250 or 350 with a six-to-eight-inch lift, black rims, and larger wheels.

“If you they do have dash cams and they do see something suspicious, the video surveillance could assist the police tremendously as well.”

RCMP believe all three incidents happened sometime after 3:30 in the afternoon. If you see anything suspicious or have more information, contact the Grande Prairie detachment or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
