Bonspiel of Hope rapidly approaching

On November 17th to 19th, there will be curlers gathered for the Bonspiel 4 Hope. There are donors, sponsors and curlers needed for the 11th annual event in Sexsmith.
Organizer Larry Vavrek says two out of every one hundred people who sign their cards end up being donors.
“The funny part about it all is that out of the same hundred people that have signed those cards, 33 of those will go to the hospital and ask for something. They will be perturbed if it is not there and say “but this is a hospital”. It’s because not enough people are signing their donor cards.”
Vavrek says the peace has become a hot spot for organ donation knowledge in the province.
