Suspect deemed “Highway 40 Shooter” still being sought

Feb 5, 2018 | 11:20 AM

Grande Prairie RCMP continue to look for a suspect known as “the Highway 40 shooter” even after an arrest Friday.

Corporal Shawn Graham says they have no evidence to link the man arrested Friday to the other incidents of vehicles being shot at along Highway 40.

The 51 charges against Cory Stephens include six counts of possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, four counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and two counts of possession of a prohibited firearm.

Police released a sketch (pictured above) of a suspect on November 21, 2017 after a shooting incident November 11, and say they are still looking for that man.
