The Grande Prairie RCMP are asking drivers to slow down and stay alert in these road and weather conditions after a van hit a pedestrian Friday.
A 19-year-old woman was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk at 105 Street and 100 Avenue just before 5 p.m. Friday when a van went through the intersection and hit her.
She was treated on scene by EMS for what police describe as minor injuries.
The 66-year-old man driving the van was given a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
