Navigators and Canucks take early series lead in NWJHL playoffs

The North West Junior Hockey League playoffs kicked off Wednesday night with two of the three Quarter-Final series.

The North Peace Navigators claimed a big 10-1 win over the Beaverlodge Blades to take a 1-0 series lead.

Also, the Dawson Creek Jr. Canucks earned a 9-3 victory against the Sexsmith Vipers to jump out to a 1-0 series lead.

Both series will resume on Friday with Game two.

The JDA Kings will open up their Quarter-Final series against the Fairview Flyers Thursday night at home with puck drop at 8:30 p.m.
