Fritz scores first NHL goal Monday afternoon

Feb 20, 2018 | 6:57 AM

It was another first for former Grande Prairie Storm Captain Tanner Fritz.

Fritz scored his first NHL goal Monday afternoon for the New York Islanders in a 5-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild.

” Obviously it feels very good. Definitely an exciting moment. It would have been better if it came in a winning feel, but I just got the puck, closed my eyes, and took a shot. Good things happen when you put pucks on net, ” shared Fritz following the contest.

The former Storm Captain added he is starting to feel more comfortable with the big club and feels his game is starting to come around.
