Municipal census takers needed for Grande Prairie

Census takers are needed for the spring’s population count in the city of Grande Prairie.

An accurate count is needed as many provincial grants are based on a per capita basis and the numbers are also used to help attract businesses and show the diverse population that the city supports.

City departments also use the information to plan for the future.

The municipal census takes place every two years and over 50 census takers are needed.

The city’s population after the last municipal census was 68,566 but the 2016 federal count was 63,116.
