Day 1 recap of CCAA Female Volleyball Nationals

The first day of the CCAA Female Volleyball Nationals began yesterday and fans of the sport had the opportunity to enjoy a plethora of games yesterday.

The defending National Champion, Lakeland Rustlers knocked off the MSVU Mystics in four sets to open the tournament, VIU beat D’Andre-Laurendeau in three sets, the Humber Hawks got by Elans de Garneau in five, and the GPRC Wolves fell to Douglas College in 4 sets.

Action resumes Friday with another four games.

MSVU will meet Andre-Laurendeau at one, the GPRC Wolves take on Elans de Garneau at three, Lakeland meets VIU at six, and the Humber Hawks battle the Douglas Royals.

The bronze medal game is Saturday at 6:00 p.m. and the Championship Final is at 8:00 p.m.
