Drysdale marks a decade as MLA

The Grande Prairie-Wapiti MLA is celebrating a milestone.

It has been ten years since Wayne Drysdale was first elected.

He says one project he is proud of is getting the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital up.

“It’s not finished yet, but it’s getting really close and I think there is no doubt now that it is going to happen. That was a big fight to get that done. You know it is a little early to say and hard to tell, but I think that is going to change the landscape of healthcare in our region.”

He says he is also proud to have been a part of twinning Highway 43, adding he will not stop fighting for a hospital in Beaverlodge.

“There is still one goal I want to achieve and that’s the Beaverlodge Hospital,” says Drysdale, “it seems like it is always one step ahead of me, but I am hoping to still complete that before I am done.”

His official anniversary date was March 3rd.

In the previous PC governments, Drysdale served as Infrastructure Minister twice and Transportation Minister once.
