RCMP are investigating another alleged vehicle shooting on Highway 40 south of Grande Prairie.

Police say the vehicle's driver reported damage, allegedly from a gunshot. The vehicle was traveling southbound on the highway about two kilometres north of the Wapiti Bridge yesterday morning at 9:30.

The driver heard a loud noise and noticed the windshield had been damaged. RCMP said in a media release, "the damage to the windshield was believed to be from a firearm."

The person driving was not injured and the RCMP are actively investigating.

Police are requesting anyone with information regarding this matter contact the Grande Prairie RCMP Detachment at 780-830-5700.

At this time, RCMP do not think there is a connection between this incident and previous ones on Highway 40.
