Alberta North tops medal standings at Arctic Winter Games

Team Alberta North wound up with an event-best 131 ulus, 48 of them gold at the Arctic Winter Games.

Team gold came in boys and girls curling, gymnastics, wrestling, and men’s volleyball.

Individual gold medals were won in snowboarding, short track speed skating, arctic sports, dene games, wrestling, cross country skiing, and badminton.

The Games wrapped up this weekend with the Closing Ceremonies in Hay River, Northwest Territories.

It co-hosted the competition with Fort Smith.
