Storm announce commitment of Bierd for next season

The off-season continues for the Grande Prairie Storm as they announced their latest commitment Friday morning.

The club revealed in a press release forward Nathanial Bierd has signed his letter of intent for the 2018-2019 season.

Bierd, a Calgary product, led the Calgary Midget AAA Royals in scoring this past year with 15 goals and 21 assists in 35 games.

He also racked up 11 points in 12 playoff games.

Head Coach Matt Keillor stated in a press release " Fans are going to fall in love with Nate. He as an unbelievable compete level and sees the ice very well. We wanted to get faster and more competitive next year and that's Nate's game, "

Beird will be on the ice for the first time with the Storm at fall camp which begins at the end of August.
