A pair of snow records set Monday

Monday’s snowfall beat a 68-year record for Grande Prairie.
On April 16th in 1950, 4.3 centimetres of snow fell and according to Environment Canada. Yesterday (Monday) 9.4 centimetres fell.
There is also a record amount of snow on the ground for mid-April.
April 16th, 1982 there was 41 centimetres of snow on the ground, right now there is 50 centimetres.
The snowfall warning has ended for our area, but we could see another two centimetres fall Tuesday.
