25th Annual Rotary Dream Home Lottery nearly sold out

Apr 18, 2018 | 5:48 PM

The 25th annual Rotary Dream Home Lottery has turned out to be a record setter.

Raffle Manager Kevin Hilgers says there has been a significant uptick in ticket purchases this year, luckily that was anticipated.

“We printed around $400,000 more in tickets. We thought while the economy is better, we have a stellar house built and we tried the 25th-anniversary party packs which were our bigger packs for our customers. It seems like the gamble paid off.”

This year’s sales have seen a 26 percent increase compared to in 2017 with 99 percent of the tickets sold, which is due to four key factors according to Hilgers.

“A stronger economy is helping us, a beautiful dream home, we tweaked our marketing a little bit to get to our customers more efficiently. And the 25th-anniversary party packs were a really big hit.”

There are three total draws for this edition of the lottery, all of which have received tremendous support from the community.

“This fundraiser has the Dream Home, the Cash Cow Calendar which is completely sold out. The [Cash Jackpot] 50-50 is the third lottery. It’s now at a record high of getting close to $500,000.” said Hilgers.

Hilgers adds that he thinks the Dream Home will sell out by this weekend. The 50-50 will go until midnight on Tuesday or when it hits the $550,000 range.

The draw for the Dream Home will take place on April 26. The other two will be throughout the end of April and May.
