Flooding in Southern Alberta still affecting rural roads, as crews plan repairs

LETHBRIDGE – Several States of Local Emergency remain in effect for rural areas around southern Alberta, due to flooding from overland drainage.

EDMONTON - Alberta is making changes to resolve problems with power and natural gas bills.

Energy Minister Marg McCuaig-Boyd has tabled legislation that would allow electricity and gas providers to be penalized for late billing and overcharging.

Edmonton's police chief says he will speak with National Football League executives about the Sept. 30 attack outside a CFL football game that injured a police officer.

Rod Knecht says he has been invited to an NFL security services meeting next month near San Diego.
