Opening of Whispering Ridge school delayed

The Peace Wapiti School Division says a contractor going into receivership has delayed the opening of a new school.
 
The opening date for Whispering Ridge Community School has been pushed back to September 4.
 
The original date was right after spring break.
 

The Grande Prairie and District Catholic School Board is asking for a traffic signal at 132nd Ave and Arbour Hills Boulevard. Alternatively, they would like to have one built at the intersection of 132 Avenue and 108th Street.

The Grande Prairie and District Catholic School Board is looking for some additions to the area near the new Arbour Hills School.

Grande Prairie students raise money for Sunrise House

Eight grade ten classes at a Grande Prairie high school pitched in this holiday season to present a cheque to a local emergency youth shelter. 

The students at St. Joseph's Catholic High School were able to collect $1,500 through a quarter collection fundraiser that was a week long.
