Scotties send-off tonight

A special Scotties send-off is being held this evening for team Alberta and its two local curlers.

Carrie Anne McTaggart is the Third and Kristie Moore is the Lead for team Scheidegger who will be heading to Penticton, British Columbia for the Canadian women’s curling championship.

Candace Boechler, General Manager of the Grande Prairie Curling Centre says fans are invited anytime after 5 p.m. today to sign the banner.

“We are just so excited they are representing the Peace Curling Association, the Grande Prairie Curling Centre and now they are Team Alberta. We can’t wait to congratulate them, welcome them home and then send them off to the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.”

Team Alberta is skipped by Casey Scheidegger and includes her sister Jessie Scheidegger at Second.
