Team Northwest wins final game at Alberta Cup

Team Northwest wrapped up the 2018 Alberta Cup Sunday.

They battled Team Northeast in the 7th place contest.

It was a tight battle between the two clubs, which saw the game go to overtime.

However, Team Northwest would come out on top and win their final game of the tournament, winning 3-2 in OT.

Five peace region players were a part of Team Northwest.

Devin Aubin of Falher and Connor Klassen of Crooked Creek anchored the blue line. Both players went pointless in five games.

Codie Saunders of Grande Prairie collected 2 goals and an assist in the tournament, Dayne Tews of Beaverlodge earned an assist, and Jayden Watson of the County of GP registered a goal and an assist.
