HAMILTON — “Cat-astrophe averted,” Hamilton police tweeted Friday in announcing the arrest of a suspect in the theft of a transport trailer loaded with kitty litter.
Police say a man, driving a transport truck, broke into a compound in Hamilton on Feb. 17 and allegedly made off with the litter-laden trailer.
They say the truck was tracked to a gas station where the suspect entered the store and was caught on video.
It’s alleged he then drove to Cambridge, Ont., where he abandoned the trailer and broke into another business.
