Rowney & Pens eliminated from post-season

There will be no three-peat for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Sexsmith’s Carter Rowney and the Penguins dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 decision in overtime to the Washington Capitals in game 6 to drop the series 4-2.

Rowney hadn’t appeared in the Penguins line-up since game 2.

He only played three playoff games in the 2018 post-season.

Rowney will become a free agent on July 1st.
