Special Olympic athletes return home with a handful of medals, four golds

The Special Olympics wrapped up over the weekend in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

A handful of Grande Prairie athletes represented Alberta at the event. They didn’t come home empty-handed.

Sarah Shinn captured two gold medals and a silver in swimming.

In 10-pin bowling, Zach Frost won the gold in singles and doubles with scores of 863 and 389 respectively as well as a silver medal in the all-event.
