Bombers’ 5-7 receiver continues to find success in a big man’s game
WINNIPEG — Weston Dressler had people telling him he was probably too small to play football ever since he was about 10 years old.
It’s a good thing the Winnipeg Blue Bombers receiver didn’t listen.
Heading into Friday’s home game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, the five-foot-seven, 168-pound Dressler could continue leaving his mark in the CFL history book.
The 11-year veteran has caught at least one pass in 119 consecutive games. If he latches on to a Matt Nichols’ throw Friday, Dressler will move into a tie for eighth place on the all-time list with Craig Ellis.
