Four more teams join NBA 2K League; Raptors Uprising GC set for playoffs
TORONTO — Four more franchises are joining the NBA 2K League next season, bringing the number of teams in the virtual basketball circuit to 21.
Affiliates of the Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves will join Raptors Uprising GC and 16 other teams in the league’s second season.
The esports league is headed to its first post-season, which starts Friday with the final slated for Aug. 25. All games are streamed live on Twitch from New York City.
Raptors Uprising, which started the season at 1-5, is currently fourth in the standings at 8-6. It will face Cavs Legion GC in the first round of the post-season.
