Bensmiller claims 3rd career World Chuck Wagon Championship

The World Pro Chuckwagon tour wrapped up Sunday afternoon in Rocky Mountain House.

When all was said and done, Kurt Bensmiller claimed his 3rd career World Chuckwagon Championship by 94.5 points over Vern Nolin.

Former World Champion Kirk Sutherland finished 3rd, Evan Salmond 4th, and Jason Glass finished 5th.

In the chase for the season-ending Battle of the Rockies championship, Dayton Sutherland, driving the York Realty outfit, and outriders Casey Knight and Rory Gervais, emerged as champions of the 2018 Battle of the Rockies after posting the best 4-day aggregate time of 5:03.12.

This put him 2.43 seconds in front of runner-up Doug Irvine, followed closely by Logan Gorst.
