Storm make roster moves ahead of December 1st roster deadline

Dec 2, 2018 | 7:48 AM

Prior to Saturday night’s game between the Grande Prairie Storm and Sherwood Park Crusaders, the Storm made some roster moves ahead of the December 1st roster deadline.

The first move saw the Storm send 20-year-old forward Jared Power to the Coquitlam Express of the BCHL for Future Considerations.

Power, who was acquired ahead of last years trade deadline, had 11 goals and 8 assists in 30 games with the Grande Prairie Storm this season.

This move gave the Storm room to add another 20-year-old player to their roster, and they did just that.

The club then went out and acquired forward Noah Corson from QJHL’s Saint-Gabriel-de-Brandon Prédateurs for future considerations.

Corson, the son of former NHL’er Shayne Corson, had registered 12 goals and 32 assists in 20 games this year.

Earlier in the day the Storm also moved Tyler Petrie to the Humboldt Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for future considerations.

Petrie only suited up for four games with the Storm since being acquired from the Calgary Canucks.
