Fox Creek AMBER Alert leads the charges against two people

Jun 3, 2019 | 4:04 PM

Two people are facing charges after an abduction of three children Saturday in Fox Creek led to an AMBER Alert.

The kid’s mother, 42-year-old Charmaine Darnel of Whitecourt, was due in Grande Prairie court Monday on charges that included three counts of abduction of a person under 14, assault, uttering threats, and break and enter.

A 23-year-old Lethbridge man, D’artangan Dirk Pool, is facing the same counts, plus forcible confinement and disguise with intent.

He has been released and is due in Fox Creek court June 24.

The Alert was issued Saturday at 1:30 a.m. after three kids, ages nine-months, three and four years old, were taken from a Fox Creek home.

They were located by RCMP around 20 kilometres north of Sylvan Lake that same day.

The children were not hurt, but were checked over in hospital as a precaution.
