Six injured following trailer explosion at Slave Lake campground

Six people were injured on Monday morning following a trailer explosion at Marten River Provincial Campground in Slave Lake.

Slave Lake RCMP say that emergency crews were dispatched at 7:00 a.m. and treated the injured individuals for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The six injured were all transferred to a Slave Lake hospital before being relocated to Edmonton for further treatment.

The age of the injured ranges from six-years-old to 41-years-old.

An investigation in the cause of the explosion is ongoing, with involvement of the Office of the Fire Investigator and the Lesser Slave Regional Fire Service.
