UPDATE: Environment Canada has ended the fog advisory for the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview forecast area.

Environment Canada has placed much of the Peace Region under a fog advisory Tuesday morning, including the Grande Prairie-Beaverlodge-Valleyview forecast area, as well as the Peace River-Fairview-Manning-High Prairie area.

The Grande Cache and Hinton forecast area has also been placed under a fog advisory.

The weather office says the advisory comes as near zero visibility from fog is expected or occurring in some areas of the region.

“Dense fog has formed in parts of western and northwestern Alberta this morning. This fog will persist until later this morning.”

They warn visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero on the roads Tuesday morning and to use caution while driving.
