116 Avenue detour in effect, due to on-going construction

A detour is now in place at 116 Avenue due to an intersection closure at 116 Avenue and 106 Street.

This is being done as part of the ongoing construction project taking place on 116 Avenue, which first began in June.

Residents are asked to use 106 Street and drive along the north side of the reservoir. Signage will be posted to guide motorists through the detour.

The intersection is expected to re-open after crews finish asphalt milling operations, which is expected to only take a day, depending on the weather.

The city says 108 Street will remain open during construction, so as not to disrupt northbound, south-eastbound, and south-westbound traffic.
