Five wildfires near Dawson Creek closes Highway 52

BC Wildfire is still battling “a cluster of wildfires” along Highway 52, southwest of Dawson Creek.

The highway remains closed in both directions by RCMP while crews battle the five blazes.

Two blazes remain out of control, burning 28 hectares.

The largest wildfire, spanning 50 hectares, is now listed as under control, while two more fires are listed as under control and have burned a total of six hectares combined.
