UPDATE: Highway 43 near Sturgeon Lake reopened

Update: Valleyview RCMP are reporting that Highway 43 has been cleared and reopend.

The highway was closed eaelier today after semi trailer jacknknifed in the eastbound lanes, west of Sturgeon Lake.

No injuries have been reported.

Mounties in Valleyview are on the scene of a blockage in the eastbound lanes of Highway 43, west of Sturgeon Lake.

A jackknifed semi trailer is blocking all the eastbound lanes near Range Road 253.

Highway 43 will be closed in that area until further notice and drivers are being asked to find alternative routes.
