City of Grande Prairie to begin road overlay for Royal Oaks and Northridge week of May 25

Road overlay improvements are expected to begin sometime between May 25 and May 29 as part of the City of Grande Prairie’s 2026 capital construction season.

Crews will be working in select areas of Royal Oaks and Northridge as they conduct asphalt milling and overlay, concrete spot repairs and minor storm sewer repairs.

Residents can expect temporary traffic impacts and parking restrictions while the work is ongoing.

Work areas include:

  • 121 Avenue
  • 123 Avenue
  • 120A Avenue loop roadway
  • 103 Street
  • 103A Street
  • 103B Street
  • Sections of 108 Street

Notification letters have been distributed to impacted properties.

Construction schedules and current traffic impacts are available on the City’s Traffic Planner Map.
