State of local emergency ended in Rycroft; Boil water advisory remains
Mar 8, 2019 | 8:59 AM
The local state of emergency in Rycroft has officially ended as of 8:58 a.m. today. The boil water advisory remains in effect until test results allow it to be removed.
The water treatment plant resumed normal operations last night and water pressure has remained normal. Crews continue to monitor water pressure and quality.
Water samples have been collected and are on their way to Edmonton for testing. Once the samples are delivered, it could take up to 48 hours or more for testing to occur and for the results to be returned.
Crews will be monitoring the levels at the plant the day and beginning cleanup.
