Midget AA Storm drop 1st game of Divisional Tournament

The Peaceland Directional Drilling Midget AA Storm kicked off their Regional Playoff Tournament on a losing note Thursday evening in Whitecourt.

They dropped a 5-3 decision to the host TRAC Whitecourt Wolverines.

Grande Prairie got down early, trailing  3-0 after 20 minutes and that hill proved to be too big to climb.

Rylen Kleist, Tanner Davy, and Tanner Vinck found the back of the net for the Storm in the loss.

The good news for the Midget AA Storm is they will have a chance to bounce back Friday afternoon when they face Fort McMurray.

Fort McMurray is also 0-1 at the tournament following a 4-2 loss to Peace River.

Face-Off is at 12:30 p.m.
