Now, Housego will return home and host an artist talk tomorrow (Thursday, December 7) starting at 6 p.m.

However, due to the wall’s size, not all pieces from Digital Courtship will be available to the public, but all the pieces on display will be interactive, featuring QR codes or other technology aspects.

Her artwork will then remain on display until February 28, 2024.

Housego has most recently showcased this exhibit at the Art Gallery of Alberta in Edmonton, explaining Digital Courtship in the release, as exploring “contemporary courtship, romance, technology, and historical signs and signifiers connected to dating and romance.”

Anyone interested in learning more about Digital Courtship, can visit AGGP’s website, and for anyone wanting to learn more about Housego, click here.

The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie is also marking the one-year anniversary of the TREX Wall this December.

In the release, AGGP thanked the over 70,000 people who visited the TREX Wall during its first year, as well as KMSC Law for making this wall a reality.

AGP added in the release, “the TREX Wall is a prominent space for Alberta-based artists to display their artwork.”

Any local artists wanting to get their work displayed on the TREX Wall, can email jamie-lee@aggp.ca a proposal, with the subject line: “TREX WALL Exhibition Proposal”

Then, briefly describe your exhibit idea and if you are interested in working with AGGP to develop a workshop or educational aspect. Provide an artist bio/statement, and ten to twenty photos of your exhibit.
