HFCRD announces 2025 Edwin Parr Award Nominee

Holy Family Catholic Regional Division has announced their candidate for the 2025 Edwin Parr Award.

Glenmary School teacher Shaelene Fitchie has been nominated the award recognizing first-year teachers.

Fitchie teaches several subjects as part of Glenmary’s French immersion program, including math, science, and psychology.

Glenmary Principal Brendon Nichols says Fitchie consistently goes above and beyond to create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

HFCRD Superintendent Betty Turpin says Fitchie embodies the values of catholic education.

The Edwin Parr Teacher Awards will be awarded by the Alberta School Boards Association at their Zone 1 meeting this fall.
