Fatal collision north of Fairview Tuesday

A 78-year-old man from Fairview has died after the truck he was driving collided with a gravel truck north of Fairview Tuesday. It happened just after 11 a.m. at the intersection of Township Road 824 and Range Road 40.
Police say a pick-up truck was travelling westbound, when a northbound gravel truck went through the intersection. The pick-up truck collided with the passenger side of the gravel truck.
The lone male occupant of the pick-up truck, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the gravel truck was taken to the local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators don’t believe Weather or road conditions were a factor in the crash.
