Poppy campaign starts today

The Grande Prairie Legion’s Poppy Campaign kicks off today.

Mayor Bill Given will receive the first one in his office at City Hall.

The Legion will be placing boxes of poppies in restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores.

Legions around the Peace will be doing the same.

The Grande Prairie Legion also started its Donor Wall campaign this week.

It is trying to raise $1.5-million for renovations.

Remembrance Day is Saturday, November 11.
