St. Joe’s advances in provincial football playoffs

Only one local football team is moving on in provincial playoffs.
The St Joe’s Celtics beat Paul Kane 44-0 yesterday to advance to the Tier 2 High school North final.
They will visit the Lloydminster Barons next Saturday.
Other results included Peace Wapiti falling 25-7 to St Albert in a tier 3 High school North semi.
Sexsmith was blanked 38-0 by Cold Lake in a tier 4 High School North semi.
And the Sexsmith bantam Shamrocks fell 55-12 to St Paul in a tier 4 bantam semi-final.
