Traffic stop leads to drug charges

Jan 26, 2018 | 3:35 PM

A traffic stop in Grande Prairie has led to a long list of charges against a city man.

Jamison Hudgins, 30, is facing 13 charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking, failing to stop for police, and resisting arrest.

Around 9:30 Wednesday night, police tried to pull over a vehicle for distracted driving.

The driver instead took off.

Police located the same driver a short time later in a different vehicle and a suspect was arrested without any more trouble.

A search of the first vehicle turned drugs that included heroin and cocaine, along with some ammunition and cash.

Hudgins is due in court Monday. He has been remanded.
