Zach Bennett scored three times, including an empty netter, to secure a 5-2 win for the County JDA Kings over Beaverlodge in the final NWJHL game of the regular season for both teams. 

Wyatt Lawrence had the other two goals for the Kings, who finish the season in fourth place with a record of 21-13-2. 

They will face Fairview in the opening round of the playoffs.  

Other scores from Saturday include Fairview over North Peace 4-1 and Fort St John beat Sexsmith 5-1. 

Sexsmith visits North Peace today to wrap up the regular season.

Dolan Bjornson had the eventual game winner with 7:06 remaining in the third period as the Dawson Creek Canucks beat the Grande Prairie Athletics 5-3 in NPHL West Division playoff action.  

Evan Weaver, Riley Muise, Connor Rose and Mike Lalonde also scored for the Canucks, who are now 2-2 in the three team round robin playoff format.

Craig Dalrymple with two and Andrew Buote scored for Grande Prairie, who falls to 1-2-1 with the loss.
