NWJHL Regular Season in the Books

The North West Junior Hockey League Regular Season wrapped up Sunday evening.

The North Peace Navigators knocked off the Sexsmith Vipers 8-3.

Now all seven clubs will prepare for the post-season which will begin on Wednesday.

The Fort St.John Huskies clinched the top seed in the NWJHL standings thanks to a pair of wins over the weekend, and as a result, they will get a first-round bye.

The North Peace Navigators finished three points back of the Huskies in 2nd place and will face off with the Beaverlodge Blades in the first round. The series will begin on Wednesday in Peace River.

Dawson Creek will battle the Sexsmith Vipers in the opening round and have home-ice advantage. The series opens up in Dawson Creek on Wednesday.

The final opening round series will be between the JDA Kings and the Fairview Flyers. The two clubs will lock up in Game 1 on Thursday night with the Kings owning home-ice advantage.

All three of the opening round series are best of five’s.
