Poor weather makes for difficult travel conditions in northeastern B.C.

Feb 13, 2018 | 6:51 AM

Snowfall, freezing rain and wind warnings are posted across much of northeastern BC.

The wicked weather is making travel difficult in some parts of the province, including Highway 97 — the Pine Pass — where as much as 15 centimetres of snow is expected.

Motorists say drifts at least one metre deep have choked the highway between Dawson Creek and Fort St. John while the Peace River South school district has cancelled school buses this morning because drifts piled up by last night’s high winds have plugged many rural routes.
