Spirit River RCMP say there is no risk to public safety after a suspected H2S gas leak Friday afternoon at a natural gas plant near Baytree.
The call about the leak came into RCMP around 1:30 p.m. Fire, industry safety personnel, and EMS also answered the call.
Police say a lot of people from the Alberta and B.C. sides of the Peace calling in, wondering if they needed to evacuate or take precautions.
A release from RCMP describes the leak as “a singular event” that “did not present an ongoing safety or health concern.”
