Vehicle hits and kills two people near Edmonton

EDMONTON- Two people were killed after they were struck by a vehicle while walking on a highway west of Edmonton.
Stony Plain RCMP say the pair died early yesterday morning when they were hit along the eastbound lanes of Highway 16A.
Their names have not been released and police have not said what type of vehicle was involved.
The highway was closed for several hours for an investigation.
