A former Assistant Captain of the Grande Prairie Storm has committed to Red Deer College for the 2018-2019 season.

20-year-old Parker Smyth spent two seasons at the Junior A level with Spruce Grove, Grande Prairie, and Battlefords of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

In 99 regular season games, Smyth compiled 22 goals and 39 assists.

Smyth spent the majority of his Junior A career with the Storm, playing 63 games split between two seasons where he racked up 20 goals and 30 assists.

Grande Prairie traded Smyth before the Junior A trade deadline last season as part of the deal which sent Jard Power to the Storm.
