Puerto Rico won the NORCECA Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup in Edmonton on Sunday with a 5 set victory over Canada in the final.

After dropping the first set 25-22, the Puerto Ricans picked up the next two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-19.

Backed by the partisan home crowd, team Canada came back to win the fourth set by a 27-25 score, but could not complete the comeback, as Puerto Rico took the deciding set 15-8.

Alexa Grey of Calgary led the Canadian attack with 18 points, while Autumn Bailey of Burlington, Ontario and Alicia Ogoms of Winnipeg each added 10 points.
