Alberta’s DBRS credit rating maintained

A credit agency is maintaining Alberta’s rating because of the province’s improving economy.
But Toronto-based DBRS says the trends on its rating are negative because of the government’s sustained deficit spending.
And DBRS says increased oil production is being offset by heightened opposition to new pipelines.
DBRS says it continues to question Alberta’s ability to stabilize its debt burden.
