Former city fire chief accepts position with the County of Grande Prairie
A former City of Grande Prairie fire chief who took a job in Strathcona County last year will be making his way back to the Peace Region.
Dan Lemieux has accepted the role as the County of Grande Prairie’s Community Services Director.
“Dan is a visionary leader with 25 years of senior management experience in municipal government,” said County of Grande Prairie CAO Bill Rogan. “He knows our region, he’s highly-respected and community-minded, and he’ll bring a lot of strategic foresight and expertise to our current initiatives and future plans.”
Lemieux was with the city for 27 years before spending the last year as Director of Emergency Services and Fire Chief for Strathcona County.
