Edmonton-area man charged with the second-degree murder of his wife

SPRUCE GROVE, Alta. – Alberta RCMP have arrested a man in the death of his wife.
Police say last May, Mounties responded to a report of the sudden death of a woman in Spruce Grove, a community just west of Edmonton.
The woman has been identified as 74-year-old Freda Joyes.
Robert Joyes, who is also 74, has been charged with second-degree murder.
Police say Joyes is being held in custody.
